The way it was...

Ah, memories... brings it all back like a flood! Ft. Huachuca summer of 87... Smith Middle School and all my chums, getting ditched by Sherri Wheeler Skinner (who btw had a MASSIVE crush on... so and so) and Tina Kelly because they wouldn't wait for me after I stubbed my big toe enroute to the YAC lock-in!!! Playing man hunt till the wee hours of the night with Michael Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Ismael Velez, and Ted Kaula Pabo and a host of Hall circle-ites all through Hall Circle, Hanna, Patch and Fuller St and the ball field just up the way. Skateboards, ramps, getting freaked out skating through Smith Middle School at midnight and having fun all over the place, Mott Circle, Bonnie Blink, Colonel's row, "silk road."

Being mischevous enough to have fun but too naive to really get into a bad situation, school dances, bow ties and awkward slow dances, the absolutely FREEZING water at Irwin pool, Antonio Perez and his yellow Haro with his little sister Melinda Perez Meyer always smiling from a distance.

Setting fires in a makeshift fireplace in the Mott Cirlce playground on cold nights with the dried up grass, Mrs. Dudzik and Ms. Bird, hanging out with Justin Mccawley, Steve Hudson, Chris Mead, and Robert Lucero with his gregarious and zany personality and crazy jokes.

All the dudes thinking Debbie Rodriguez Villagomez was ( at one time or another ) the prettiest girl at Smith Middle and last but best of all Michele Cartagena's beautiful smile, encouraging words and big loving heart! "In rememberance of" Ft. Huachuca, Smith Middle School and all a my chums 87-88... good times! Man we're getting old! ;^D
